Painting, Kitchen Floor and Cabinets

Painting is complete thanks to lots of help.  The kitchen floor is complete thanks to lots of help.  Cabinets were mostly installed today!  One cabinet was the wrong size, some minor adjustments are needed still and the island needs to be attached to the floor.  But you can get a pretty good idea of what it will look like!

Kitchen Transformation

It’s hard to show all the work done with pictures, but that was a lot for the time span. Below are the pictures going by date. Special thanks to Grandpa Chuck, Grandma Hope, Marilyn, John, Mandy, and Paul for the work they did. This wouldn’t have gotten done in such a sort time frame.

Kitchen after wall comes out and sheet rock is done 11/07/11.

BTW, the flooring choice is natural hickory. When you cut it and get it hot it kind of smells like cooking BBQ. We will finish the last bit of floor after Thanksgiving and then cabinets!!!

Well it’s been a while.

What haven’t we done?  Most days I guess you could call us carplumetricians.  I think I am going to copyright that.  Other than slicing my head open and suffering through a bad reaction to a tetanus shot, I think it has gone pretty well.

We finish the plumbing, electrical, and heating rough in inspection.  Insulation goes in.  Wall between old and new kitchen parts comes out.
